GrainGrowers’ members in the Northern Region have voted for their National Policy Group (NPG) representatives. The NPG determines GrainGrowers’ policy positions and represent the views of farmers on national issues affecting the grains sector.

The NPG Northern Region representatives are:

  • Kate Gunn, Curlewis NSW
  • Ben Taylor, Condamine QLD
  • Stuart McIntyre, West Prairie QLD
  • Ian Carter, Quirindi NSW
  • Luke Bradley, Springsure QLD

“Congratulations to our five Northern Region National Policy Group representatives. They are all excellent representatives for our industry, and we are lucky to have them now representing growers from their areas.” said Brett Hosking, GrainGrowers’ Chair.

“I’d like to thank all the candidates who ran, it was a great group of growers and must have made voting really difficult for Northern Region members. We also appreciated all our members having their say in this important election especially with weather conditions keeping people busy at the moment.” said Hosking.

The GrainGrowers NPG is made up of fifteen farmers: five from each of the GrainGrowers regions – Western Region (SA and WA), Southern Region (southern NSW, VIC and TAS) and the northern region (northern NSW & QLD).

The first meeting for the GrainGrowers National Policy Group including the newly elected Northern Region representatives will in early 2022.
