Nominations open for Western Region growers
Grain Growers Limited (GrainGrowers) is a national grain grower representative organisation in Australia. GrainGrowers is seeking passionate grain growers to have purpose led impact for grower members. The successful directors will drive GrainGrowers’ vision of thriving Australian grain growers in vibrant communities and lead its mission of empowering Australian grain growers through engagement, policy and capacity building.
The Board of GrainGrowers comprises of six grower directors and two independent directors.
The Board is now calling for nominations for the two Western Region grower director positions.
To qualify candidates must:
- Be a member of GrainGrowers.
- Be a resident or in the business of grain production in GrainGrowers Western Region (South Australia or Western Australia).
- Hold a strong commitment to the further development of Australia’s grain industry.
It would be highly regarded, and preferable, for applicants to have a proven record of success at board or committee level. Applicants should possess a solid understanding of governance, strategic approach, and behave in a collegiate manner.
The appointees will be highly motivated to contribute to the growth and development of this dynamic and contemporary member-based organisation.
Other desirable skills for consideration include:
- Strong understanding of the Australian grains industry.
- Engagement with a wide range of growers, broader industry, and government stakeholders.
- Investment and risk management experience.
- Finance, Accounting and/or sustainability/ESG understanding.
Nominations open on 1 May 2026 and close 30 May 2026.
