GrainGrowers is recommending better protections and, where necessary, remedies for farmers under the Australian Consumer Law. This includes:
- an increase in the dollar value of goods which are covered under ACL,
- changes to (extended) warranties to include operating hour rather than a fixed time period, and
- a recognition that a number of minor failures should automatically constitute a major failure.
