GrainGrowers supports the intent of Modernising Levies Legislation work, and the opportunity it presents to make the arrangements more transparent. However, we are circumspect regarding the proposed changes given the complexity of the legislation and its scope.
Some information regarding grains industry levies regulations was still under development and not available for comment during the consultation. In our review of the proposed legislation and material available, and through our discussions with the GRDC and other stakeholders, we have not identified specific issues of concern.
