GrainGrowers contacted the major parties and invited them to share any agriculture policies that they have that support grain farmers and our $20 billion sector for the 2022 federal election.
GrainGrowers is pleased to see some election asks for growers recognised including:
- Support for funding to cut red tape
- Review of supply chain resilience
- Support for domestic manufacturing of inputs
- Support for investment towards eliminating regional telecommunications black spots and improving business outcomes for growers
- Energy sustainability initiatives for communities
- Commitment to engage with growers post-election on ACCC market enquiry
