GrainGrowers has today released a comprehensive Workforce Resources Hub, providing growers with access to practical tools and insights on workforce trends, challenges, and future opportunities.

GrainGrowers CEO Shona Gawel said the resources had been drawn together to cover a range of key industry-related workforce topics.

Ms Gawel said despite directly employing more than 34,000 workers, with thousands more across the supply chain, the grain industry continues to face increasing pressures in finding, training, and retaining staff.

“Our policy surveys have consistently identified workplace-related issues as one of the top five challenges confronting the industry. The information available through the hub has been developed as part of the process of supporting growers with practical resources that can be considered in terms of their own business operations,” she said.

The resources in the hub include:

  • Cultivating the Grain Industry Workforce of the Future – a report identifying workforce gaps and examining current constraints and future solutions.
  • Grain Workforce Visa Options – A guide to visa pathways and workforce programs, detailing options available to industry participants.
  • On-farm Remuneration Benchmarking Report 2025 - an independent benchmarking report on remuneration practices in Western Australia and New South Wales across four key roles: Farm Manager, Senior Farm Worker, Farm Worker, and Truck Driver.
  • Recruitment Tips & Links – a handy guide to assist growers with the hiring process.

Ms Gawel said the new hub provides proactive and practical support, giving growers access to trusted workforce information.
