GrainGrowers is calling for a reset of Australia’s biosecurity system to ensure that it is better positioned to meet modern biosecurity threats and welcomes the development of the National Biosecurity Strategy. It is important that government and industry work together to ensure our national biosecurity system evolves and adapts to meet the emerging biosecurity challenges. It is critical that the National Biosecurity Strategy is accompanied by a time-bound plan for implementation and improvement, and that there is appropriate reporting and review of progress in consultation with stakeholders.
