Engagement on biosecurity issues is a high priority for GrainGrowers, highlighting our members' deep concern for biosecurity and the significant costs associated with addressing both established and emerging pests and diseases in farming systems.
The current consultation centres around the following priority areas:
• Priority Area 1: Shared biosecurity culture
• Priority Area 2: Stronger partnerships.
GrainGrowers acknowledges that biosecurity is a shared responsibility, and that industry involvement is pivotal to the success of these two Priority Areas under the National Biosecurity Strategy.
