The National Policy Group (NPG) helps shape GrainGrowers’ policy positions and is an opportunity to represent the views of growers in your area on national issues affecting the industry.

The NPG has been looking at a wide range of issues over the past year and has helped GrainGrowers develop policy positions on low emissions vehicles, agricultural land use, and people and capability, to name a few. Being on the NPG also provides an opportunity to represent grower views at various industry forums.

About the NPG

  • NPG members are appointed for a three-year term, with the option to nominate for a second and third term;
  • NPG meets 3-4 times a year in person at locations across Australia with some additional teleconferences;
  • NPG members are encouraged to connect with growers from their region to ensure they are across major issues impacting grain farming businesses;
  • A constructive and collaborative approach to developing national policy solutions is essential;
