ISCC Sustainability Scheme update – new changes are on hold

Growers who choose to market their grain as ISCC Certified may be aware of some new requirements introduce in July 2021 . These include:

  • Setting aside of land for pollination crops
  • Recording energy saving initiatives

GrainGrowers, along with other stakeholders provided feedback that the ISCC new requirements may create unnecessary burdens for growers.

Following this, the ISCC has requested further feedback in relation to the changes to agricultural biomass. Please contact fiona.mccredie@graingrowers.com.au if you have any comments you would like to share around this.

The ISCC has delayed the introduction of any changes to the Agricultural Biomass (Principles 2-6) requirements and no growers trading grain in 2021 will be subject to any new ISCC requirements.
