GrainGrowers has worked in partnership with Farming System Groups across Australia for several years, providing grants for a range of projects and initiatives designed to benefit grain growers.
Farming System Groups run diverse and innovative community and research activities. GrainGrowers is keen to support this work and to be a collaborative partner, ensuring new and existing initiatives can take place. Groups across Australia are invited to apply for a FY19-20 grant.
This year, GrainGrowers is encouraging applications for projects which support the industry’s sustainability. This focus aligns with a major GrainGrowers project, called Behind Australian Grains, which is underway to develop a grains sustainability framework. Applications for projects that demonstrate reach to progressive, profit-focussed and sustainable grain growers will be considered favorably.
As part of the partnership funding, groups will need to provide opportunities for GrainGrowers to profile its national policy & research work as well as encourage participation from the growers within the group to get involved in GrainGrowers leadership and event activities.
Grant amounts between $1000 to $10,000 will be considered.
