Zoe Carter is not your average jillaroo. Growing up in the city, Zoe had to make her own way into the agricultural industry. While also fighting for her foothold, Zoe suffered a catastrophic horse-riding accident whilst working in the equine industry. This left her with a shattered pelvis, massive internal injuries and some short term brain injuries. Zoe persevered and has gone on to pave the way for young people like herself, through an online social media platform Young Aussie Farmers. The group has over 4000 members and 150,000 people have “liked” posts. Zoe’s social media pages are dedicated towards supporting and encouraging young Aussies to become a part of the Australian Agricultural Industry
Steven Bradbury OAM is a former Australian short track speed skater and four-time Olympian. Steven also infamously won the 100m event at the 2002 Winter Olympics after all of his opponents were involved in a last corner pile-up. This was also Australia’s first ever Winter Olympic Gold medal. Steven tells an amazingly inspirational story of triumph over adversity, of how he underwent years of obsessive training, pain, setbacks, sacrifice and life threatening injuries and of how he armed himself with the information and tools he needed to achieve this amazing success. Steven will be a keynote speaker for Innovation Generation 2019 and will also be MC’ing the conference.
