Innovation Generation (IG) Local is an initiative run by GrainGrowers and Future Farmers Network to bring the best of IG to rural communities.

For 10 years GrainGrowers has successfully hosted Innovation Generation – a two and a half day knowledge building and networking conference for farmers and agribusiness professionals under 35 years. Each year the conference is held in a different location across Australia at the beginning of July.

GrainGrowers, General Manager of Industry Development, Michael Southan said “IG features a line-up of interesting speakers, networking and social activities, workshops, and tours of local ag-related sites of interest, where 100-150 delegates typically attend. We encourage all young people involved in agriculture to come along and be part of the conference.”

This year GrainGrowers and Future Farmers Network have joined forces to run the first IG Local along with the help of Moree Young Aggies.

“We joined forces with GGL to extend the reach of IG – the concept of bringing an abridged version of the conference to the regions was considered and culminated in IG Local”, Future Farmers Network (FFN), Executive Officer, Toby Locke said.

In February 2017, GrainGrowers and Future Farmers Network will host the first IG Local in Moree at the Moree Services Club (Albert St, Moree NSW 2400) on Thursday 23 February. The conference commences at 2pm with a dinner following at 6:30pm.
