GrainGrowers comment on the Notification of Reconsideration of Neonicotinoids

By February 7, 2020Submissions - 2020

In November 2019, the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) notified the public that it has commenced a reconsideration of certain neonicotinoid active constituent approvals, product registrations and associated label approvals on the basis of potential risks to the environment and to ensure safety instructions on products meet contemporary standards.

GrainGrowers provided preliminary comment regarding the announcement, and endeavours to engage with industry and the APVMA during this process to ensure that neonicotinoids remain a viable control option for grains pests.
