INDUSTRY OWNED CORPORATION

Test weight increase

Right now, we're concerned about Grain Trade Australia's plans to increase the test weight limit from 74 kg/hl to 76 kg/hl at the 2013 harvest. You can read our policy positon on the test weight increase here.

Genetically Modified (GM) crops

Our position on a national approach to GM crops wants to balance the benefits of this technology while protecting the reputation of Australian grains.

We've also formulated a policy on the moratorium on GM crops in South Australia. 

Mining and Coal Seam Gas extraction

GrainGrowers is looking for stronger regulation from State and Federal governments when it comes to the protection of natural resources and chemical use in relation to mining and coal seam gas extraction.

Biosecurity 

We're working with Plant Health Australia to ensure Australia's plant biosecurity measures  remain strong.
