Competition Overview

The AUCC provides competitors with the opportunity to take their theoretical learning beyond the lecture theatre and into the field.

This year, the AUCC will extend its coverage to include grains, pulses and oilseeds. With respect to these crops, the students will be examined on:

  • Seed identification and analysis;
  • Grading and classification;
  • Business strategy;
  • Production practices;
  • Crop and weed identification and analysis;
  • Yield potential; and
  • Soil profiling and analysis.

The AUCC exposes competitors to all aspects of the supply chain to ensure these future agribusiness professionals have whole of industry awareness, from input costs and variety selection to yield potential and end users.

AUCC Steering Committee

The AUCC Steering Committee assists GrainGrowers in the development, planning and management of the competition. The AUCC Steering Committee comprises of industry representatives and past competitors who all provide valuable advice and insight into the industry and needs of university students.
