Education and Training
GrainGrowers provides training and development opportunities to people from all sectors of the grain and foods industry, including growers, handlers and marketers, processors, and manufacturers and distributors. Courses may be delivered on site, via distance education, or at our fully equipped training and education facility at North Ryde, Sydney. All courses combine theory and practical "hands on" components, with participants receiving certification on completion. Many of the courses contain specialised "modules" to complement the topics discussed.
Grain Gain training and development
In February, GrainGrowers will run Grain Gain training and development courses across Australia. The project is supported by GrainGrowers and the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC).
The Grain Gain Program provides training opportunities for approximately 500 producers and industry professionals. The program consists of three levels targeting on-farm skills, industry and technology, and markets. The courses are unique in combining components of leadership with the development of technical skills.
The courses are facilitated by a team of industry professionals, with extensive experience working in the grain and food industry. Emeritus Professor Gordon MacAulay is the course leader.
Registration is now open for the Grain Gain On-farm courses. Places are limited, so early registration is recommended. The cost of the course is $50 for growers and $150 for non-growers.
