The Internet is not a copyright-free zone. It should not be assumed that you can download everything you access on the Internet as some material may be on the web without the copyright owner's permission and/or may be unauthorised material.
Copyright of a website may be infringed when:
- Material is printed without a copyright clearance or falls outside the Statutory Licence and Fair dealing provisions
- Material is downloaded and saved on a hard disk or other storage device
- Material is emailed or redistributed to others via email or other communication devices (mobile phones)
When using third party copyright material from a website, it is highly recommended that you:
- Avoid the infringement of copyright by checking the terms, conditions and other disclaimers on the website to ascertain if material can be used for the purpose you require and or seek the assistance of the Copyright Officer
- Ensure that printing, downloading, copying, file sharing and communicating of third party material from web sites does not infringe copyright and or be considered as piracy of material, especially when using text, images, computer programs and other material
For material on the Grain Growers Limited website, unless its use is clearly stated, contact the organisation’s Chief Executive Officer to determine if you can use the material and/or need assistance in obtaining permission to use the material.
